If you are planning a trip to Africa ,you will be surprised to know that getting your travel immunization up-to -date is something you cannot afford to forget so as to avoid getting sick while overseas. The health situation in most African countries requires visitors to be up to date with all common childhood vaccines. This includes Hepatitis B, diphtheria, tetanus, measles, mumps, rubella and polio. If you are travelling with children you need to be more particular regarding the required travel vaccines. Care should be taken regarding the rabies vaccine which comes in a series and therefore needs to be planned a few months before the journey.
