If you are traveling with your pet, make sure first if your airline is allowing pets on board. Then in your destination, find out if pets are allowed in their public mode of transportation (taxi, buses, trains). Some cities don't allow pets in hotels and restaurants. So make sure you pick a destination that is pet-friendly.
Most importantly, check your travel guides if there are any epidemics going on in your destination. You and your pets don't want to bring home some bugs that will make you both awfully sick. When packing your bags, include a stash of medicines that you need for your existing conditions or basic medicines that you will need in case you get sick while traveling. For you pet's need, don't forget to pack his Pet Meds. He may get sick too so it's better to be prepared.
