Medical Spas

There was a time when a wrinkle was a sign of time passing. Now, it is seen as a stamp of old age. So many people are looking for ways to cover and fill lines on their face, minimize spider veins, and reduce age spots. Medical Spas have become the place to go to when it comes to feeling youthful, revitalized, and dazzling.

According to the International Spa Association (ISPA), a medical spa is "a facility that operates under the full-time, on-site supervision of a licensed health care professional whose primary purpose is to provide comprehensive medical and wellness care in an environment that integrates spa services with traditional, complimentary, and/or alternative therapies and treatments. The facility operates within the scope of practice of its staff, which can include both aesthetic/cosmetic and prevention/wellness procedures and services."

In a recent trend, medical spas have become the hot destination spot for tourists. Many come from the United States and Europe to Asia for a bit of Old World healing and rejuvenation while India offers rich cultural history and holistic treatments.
