A recent survey has found that of the 1254 travelers who participated in the survey, 46 percent of travelers are flying to low or middle income countries. From these individuals, many of them have not taken the precaution of immunizations for travel.
Although this is a great opportunity for individuals to explore all parts of the world including developing countries, there are an alarming amount of infections and illnesses that are harder to heal in these areas.
Individuals who are not familiar with the food, culture and lifestyle in many developing countries can have a rough time with stomach bugs and other high life threatening illnesses. It is important therefore to keep travel immunization priorities up high before traveling.
